It’s here! The Black Lamps will release their (and indeed our own) debut album on the 12th of January 2015 through Of National Importance Records. The self titled effort is made up of 10 tracks recorded over the last few years with Steve Ellis (Hey Sholay, Cavorts, Steel Trees) of Orion Studio. The band mixed the record themselves before handing over mastering duties to Tom Woodhead (Hookworms, Post War Glamour Girls) at Hippocratic.
Track four of the album The Smoking Party is available to stream and download for free below whilst the CD, digital and 12” red vinyl formats of the album can be pre-ordered over at Bandcamp. The album can also be pre-ordered through itunes for just £5.60 through this link.
The above artwork was created by Jamie Briggs from a painting by drummer Dean Ormston – also a comic book artist noted for his work with with many publishers including DC Vertigo, Judge Dredd Megazine, 2000AD and Dark Horse.
